Two receive awards from the International Precious Metal Institute (IPMI)

The Board of Directors of the International Precious Metals Institute (IPMI) has selected Mr. Michael Lowe and Dr. Héctor Abruña to receive awards at the IPMI's Annual Meeting in June.  Mr. Lowe will receive its annual Graduate Student Award sponsored by Gemini Industries for his research on x-ray synchroton radiation for the in-situ study of PtBi and PtPb based electrocatalytic systems for Fuel Cell applications.  Dr. Abruña will receive its Student Advisor Award, which is based on his written recommendation for IPMI student awards.

Both will receive a prize of $5,000 which recognizes outstanding work and dedication.
