Pastore wins Bauer Scholarship Award

May 1st, 2016 ›

James Pastore, a member in the Abruña lab, is a recipient of the Chemistry and Chemical Biology Bauer Scholarship Award.  He was chosen by the faculty among a group of top students who were nominated on basis of their outstanding academic and research performances, as well as scholarly activities.

This award is funded by a gift from the late Simon Bauer, who joined the Cornell chemistry faculty in 1939 and received emeritus status in 1977, but continued to work with graduate students, receive grants and publish papers until 2005.

This prize is awarded to graduate students going into their last year of study at Cornell to give a research presentation at their alma mater during their final year at Cornell.  The award will cover costs associated with their travel.
