James McKone

James completed his graduate studies at the California Institute of Technology in the Spring of 2013, working with Harry Gray and Nate Lewis in the field of solar fuels. His postdoc research in the Abruña and DiSalvo groups focused on integrating flow battery chemistry with solar light absorbers. In his free time, James loves reading, binge-watching Netflix, playing music, and taking on random personal and household projects

in the Summer of 2016, he joined the faculty at the University of Pittsburgh, where he is working in the Department of Chemistry and Petroleum Engineering.
